MIDDLEBURY, CT ~ March 6, 2003 ~ Katy Industries, Inc. (NYSE: KT) announced today that it is exploring the sale of Woods Industries, Inc., Woods Industries (Canada), Inc., and Katy International. These businesses are leaders in the manufacture, sourcing and distribution of consumer electric corded products, including extension cords, work lights, surge protectors, power strips, garden lighting and timers. Katy has engaged Harris Williams & Co. to assist in this process.
